The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for the northern part of Hubbard County from July 25-28, 2013.
Stalled — Vehicle stalled on a road in Farden Township; nobody is around, not a road hazard.
Fire — Tree fell on power line in Badoura Township; Itasca Mantrap has been notified.
Tree down — Downed tree is blocking road in Badoura Township; highway department notified.
Citation — Driving after suspension of license in Laporte.
Verbal — Warning for speed in Laporte.
Suspicious — Tall man with long gray hair is walking around the Laporte School trying to open the doors; gone when officer arrived.
Shots — Reports of shots fired by caller’s neighbors in Lake George Township; caller would like the area patrolled.
Theft — Lake George Township caller says someone has been siphoning gas from his vehicles; reports other suspicious activity.
Violation, verbal — Helga Township boater received verbal warning for having registration on just one side of the boat.
Assistance — ATV needs assistance in Steamboat River Township.
Theft — Items reported stolen from a cabin in Farden Township.
Drive-off — Gas drive-off in Akeley, $15, newer Ford Ranger pickup southbound on Hwy. 64.
ATV complaint — White Oak Township caller has ongoing issue about a neighbor who rides past his house on a loud ATV.
Dog — Pit bull reported running on Highway 71, Helga Township.
Neighbor issues — Lake George Township caller has complaints about a neighbor who is shooting a rifle.
Issues — Lake George Township caller has issues with her landlord.
Tree down — A tree is down across Co. Rd. 12 in White Oak Township, blocking half of the westbound lane. A crew will come out to clear the road.
Missing — Lake George Township caller reports his girlfriend is missing.
Bang! — Fireworks complaint in Lakeport Township.
Drive-off — Gas drive-off in Akeley Township, $55.62. Vehicle has Iowa plate, headed west on Hwy. 34.
Stuck — Car reported stuck in the mud somewhere in the Paul Bunyan State Forest near the Stomping Grounds. Caller stated they are making their way to Hwy. 64; no injuries. Kevin’s Towing is en route.
Not welcome — Lake George Township caller does not want a neighbor on his property.
Locked up — White Oak Township caller says his dog is locked inside his neighbor’s camper.
Animal neglect — Animal neglect, abuse complaint investigated in Lake Alice Township. Unable to check; nobody was at home.
Erratic driving — Report of a vehicle driving all over the road in Lake George Township; last seen westbound on Highway 71 toward Itasca State Park. Vehicle was passing other vehicles and running them off the road onto the shoulder.
Verbal, then physical — A verbal disagreement turned into a shoving match outside the Akeley Municipal Liquor Store.
Animal welfare — Akeley caller would like an officer to check on the welfare of a dog at a given address. A week ago the caller had seen the dog out in bad weather with no shelter.
Theft— Boat stolen from Lake Plantagenet in Helga Township.
ATV use — Unsafe ATV usage reported in city of Akeley.
Shots — Report of gunshots in Lake George Township.
