Lucette Diana Kensack is Paul Bunyan’s Sweetheart and appropriately, Lucette’s Pizza in Hackensack opened on Valentine’s Day in 2003.
“We are famous for our homemade pizza. We shred our cheese, make our [own]pizza sauce, make our dough and cook our sausage daily. Every pizza is hand-crafted with fresh home made ingredients,” said owner Cindy Paulson. “Any way you slice it, we are a cut above in the industry.”
Lucette’s offers several specialty pizzas that include taco, chicken Alfredo, chicken bacon ranch, volcano, American bacon cheeseburger, Lucette’s garden, Greek gyro and sweet kung poa chicken. More in line with traditional style pizzas, there’s Paul’s Deluxe and the meaty Lumberjack, which are the top sellers.
The pizza pies are thin crust, but for those who love crust, there’s the stuffed pizza. This first debuted on the original menu as a Double Decker. At first it was not a big ticket item at Lucette’s, so it was renamed the Stuffed Pizza.
On the saucy side, Lucette’s also has traditional red, garlic ranch, chipotle, barbecue, tezki, Asian chili, buffalo, teriyaki, taco and Alfredo sauce pizzas.
For 15 years Lucette’s Pizza has been serving “great taste and great value” in all of its menu options.
