The first of many bands has been signed for the 20th anniversary of Moondance Jam.
Scheduled to perform at Moondance Jam 20 July 14-16, which will also be a tribute to founder Bill Bieloh, is 3 Doors Down.
Five bands have also been booked for the fifth annual Jammin Country Fest scheduled for June 23-25.
Big and Rich, Dierks Bentley, Craig Morgan, Phil Vassar and Neal McCoy will perform at the Country Fest.
This will be the first time 3 Doors Down have performed at the Moondance Jam venue. It will mark the second time Big and Rich, Dierks Bentley, Phil Vassar and Neal McCoy have performed at the Country Fest. Big and Rich and Bentley were there in 2007, with Vassar and McCoy performing last year.
Every year something new is added to the Moondance fairgrounds. In 2010, the Bielohs added a new Tiki Bar, the Moondance Shuffle pub crawl and a karaoke contest. But the biggest addition was the filming of 10 of the 19 bands at Moondance Jam 19 by the Blaze TV production crew. One hour shows for DirecTV’s concert series shows have already debuted on the 101 Network and will be replayed over the next two years.
A major change to Country Fest will be its new dates. The three-day festival has been pushed back a week. The change was made for several reasons. One was to move the festival away from Walker Crazy Days held the same week. But probably the most important reason for Jammers was to move the event from the same weekend as music festivals held in Wisconsin. This would allow a better opportunity to sign bands coming from those festivals.
General admission, VIP and Rockstar all-access tickets are available for both Jams. Now is also the right time to reserve camping sites that are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
