Every Sunday night from June 16-Aug 25, the Community Church of Walker, UCC, will host a concert at 7 p.m. in their Gazebo. If weather is threatening, the concert will be held in the church. A free will offering will be taken for the performers. Bring a lawn chair to sit among the pines and enjoy a beautiful summer evening with great music.

June 16 — Playing together for the past few years, Steven Reiter and Lynn Mineer each bring a variety of musical experiences. Lynn plays banjo, guitar and native flute, while Steve plays guitar and mandolin. Each provides accompaniment with instrument and vocal harmony as they perform folk tunes, country songs and pop ballads.

June 23 — Jarrod Norvold is a singer-songwriter from Walker and currently serves as Youth and Worship pastor at Calvary Church. He has been playing and singing since he was a child and recently released his debut album, “The Other Side.”

June 30 — Karl Commers performs as the “Legendary Neil Diamond.” Karl does an astonishing likeness of Diamond, capturing his signature style and vocals. He has performed at many venues including Moondance Jammin’ Country and Moondance Jam.

July 7 — Ryan Pels has delighted audiences for years with his voice and guitar. He has been part of many events including the Woodtick Theater, Taste of Broadway,  Jammin’ Country and more.

July 14 — Dancing Light is composed of Kiki and Gregg Webb. Powerful vocals, beautiful melodies, insightful lyrics and unusual harmonies, supported by acoustic guitar, are the musical trademarks of this dynamic duo. They started their musical partnership in 1993 and have performed at numerous benefits, art fairs, festivals, community events and concerts.

July 21 — Matt and Allen Carlson are  a father and son duo (ukulele and guitar) who live west of the Twin Cities. They share a passion for music, especially classic country, gospel and hymns.

July 28 — The After 5 Band is composed of Linda and Ken Barber and Kim and Tom Kusler who have been playing country, Irish and ‘50s music together for years. Enjoy their three-part harmonies and feel free to get up and do the two-step or Lindy.

Aug. 4 — Remember When, with Renee and Don McKercher, plays music from the past in a variety of genres — ‘60s rock and roll, gospel, old-time country, folk and ethnic.

Aug. 11 — Louis Samsa is Eclectic Electric and has been a professional musician and guitar instructor for over 48 years. He has written a guitar instruction manual and was featured on an episode of Common Ground on Lakeland Public TV.

Aug. 18 — Violinist Jeff Menten, fingerstyle guitarist Paul Nye and bassist Keith Thumen present their brand of funky folk, punky polka, grassy blues, cool classical and gypsy jazz — plus some of the group’s original music.

Aug. 25 — Larry Kimball and son Loran will present a collaboration of tunes entitled “Stories, Songs and Story Songs.”
