Nate Luetgers, a Park Rapids area artist, is often seen painting in the community at public events, such as at Nevis Sites and Bites. He teaches art classes to all ages and will be teaching two free art classes for youth at the Nemeth Art Center this summer.

PARK RAPIDS — Local artist Nate Luetgers will be leading a painting class for youth June 22 at the Nemeth Art Center.

This free class, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m., is supported through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council to provide access to arts learning during the summer to youth in the area.

Luetgers has been a prevalent artist in the community, leading art classes for many years. This year, the Nemeth Center is excited to host two art classes for youth during our season led by Luetgers to help young artists explore their creativity and self-expression through art.

RSVP through the Nemeth Art Center website event’s calendar or email info@nemethartcenter.org to secure your spot for this free activity! Enrollment will be limited, so sign up early to make sure your child can participate. Youth under 8 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult to participate.

Nemeth Art Center Gallery hours are Thursdays through Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Admission is always free to the Nemeth Art Center, located upstairs at the Historic Hubbard County Courthouse, 301 Court Ave. Learn about the Nemeth Art Center and support contemporary arts programing by becoming a NAC member at www.nemethartcenter.org

This Nemeth Art Center 2019 programing is made possible by our generous members and business sponsors and through the support of Legacy Act grants from Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
