First Widow, Widower’s Club thank you

April showers do bring May flowers, friends! We want to love on all of the flowers — male and female — who attended the First Widow and Widower’s Club in April. Boy, did we have a time together.

Mike and I wanted to keep our club members and attenders all to ourselves that night, and that we did. April celebrated and noted another holiday for our guests — Easter, Resurrection Sunday. Those days can be very tough.

We had a time of music together and healing together through a lesson about releasing guilt, shame and regret. It was beautifully powerful laughter and tears combined. A blessed crew we were, friends!

Thank you to our family of supporters at Cornerstone Church. We meet there each month free of charge, and this month they sponsored our meeting, too!

We would also like to thank our dear friends Jesse and Sandra Aldrich for your love offering. Thank you, thank you!

If you would like to attend the or know someone who would benefit from attending, or have any questions about First Widows and Widowers Club, contact Mike and Stacy Little at (218) 547-1331 or send inquiries to We are also always looking for monthly sponsorship to offset the cost for the meal we provide, gifts for our guests, door prizes, table decorations, and so on.

We always meet on the last Monday of the month. May is our 12th anniversary. The First Widow and Widower’s Club will meet May 27  at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Church south of the Y Junction. south of Walker. A buffet-style meal provided. Doors open at 5:30. The theme is “Love Trumps All.
