First Widows, Widowers Club thank you
The May First Widow and Widowers Club marked our 12th anniversary as a club. We celebrated our time together on Memorial Day, and were so blessed by our night.
Our guest “tag team” speakers were incredible, and brought words of hope and healing. We welcomed our dear friends Pastor Kari Barrick (The Reach Church in Cass Lake) and Vin Roy, who shared his incredible testimony of “life after death.” Powerful!
Kari and Vin also brought DQ treat gift certificates for our guests. So sweet!
Our dear friend Jill Geroy came as well to help with after club clean up. So grateful!
We were so thankful for our generous sponsorship, too! A huge Club round of applause goes to Lydia Krueckeberg and Mark McKenna of SuperOne Foods in Walker. What blessings you both are!
More food help came from Pam Hunt, who made some delicious desserts for us to enjoy. Yum!
Personal outreach means so much to us at club, and we want to extend a word of thanks to our faithfully talented “postcard gal” Rachele Wales.
Another round of gratitude sent out to Cornerstone Church of Walker, for allowing us to meet free of charge each month — our “home away from home.” We are a blessed group indeed!
If you would like to attend or know someone who would benefit from attending, or have any questions about the First Widows and Widowers Club, please contact Mike and Stacy Little at (218) 547-1331 or send inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are also always looking for monthly sponsorship to offset the cost for the meal we provide, gifts for our guests, door prizes, table decorations, and so on. We always meet on the last Monday of the month.
The First Widow and Widower’s Club will meet June 24 at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30) at Cornerstone Church with a buffet style meal provided. The theme is “I see you.”
