A first-place finish in the Upper Mississippi Softball Conference earned Walker-Hackensack-Akeley softball team five all-conference selections.
Megan Benjamin, Bri Raddatz and Ally Sea were named all-conference, while Lizzie Naugle and Elise Rice were honorable mention.
Benjamin was second on the team with a .500 batting average, led with 25 RBIs, had 22 hits with 11 doubles and one homer, and scored 24 runs. She also had an 8-4 record as a pitcher.
Raddatz finished with a .460 batting average, had 23 hits with five doubles, 23 RBIs and scored 27 runs.
Sea, the lead-off hitting, led in several categories. She had a .511 average, had 24 hits, scored 31 runs and was second with 23 RBIs.
Naugle tied for second with 27 runs scored, had 15 hits and 14 RBIs, and finished the season with a .326 average.
Rice had a .378 average with 14 hits, 13 RBI and scored 17 runs.
The Wolves finished the abbreviated season with a 9-5 record, including 6-1 in the conference. Their only loss was a 16-5 setback at Blackduck, but less than a week later they trounced the Drakes 13-3 for the conference crown.
Coach Rich Majcin also announced his decision to step away from softball after five years as head coach and 41 years total coaching softball.
