Dillon McGee has qualified for the 2019 National Junior College Athletic Association Wrestling Championships after taking first place at the North Central District Championship Feb. 10 in Worthington.
The former Walker-Hackensack-Akeley-Nevis wrestler took first at 141 pounds with a 5-0 decision in the title match.
McGee, a freshman at Rochester Community and Technical College, was one of five Yellowjackets to win a title. The Yellowjackets also won their seventh straight MCAC Championship with 80.5 points.
Taking second was Itasca Community Colege with 57 points and Northland Community College was third with 41 points.
This tournament also serves as the North District Qualifier for the NJCAA National Tournament. Rochester qualified six wrestlers for the tournament, which will be held March 1-2 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
