Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Student Tanner Rivard has qualified to compete in the National Championship in Mason Michigan July 10-14.

During the five-day event, more than 240 teams and 2,000 individuals will be shooting for the National Titles. In order to compete for the title of National Champion, Rivard will be shooting in the 100-round qualifying event July 13, where only the top 400 individuals will move on to Sunday’s championship event.

The competition will be tough but Tanner is up for the challenge. In last years individual competition, three shooters shot a perfect 200 out of 200 targets that led to a shoot off for the National Title.

Rivard has been one of the top shooters on the Wolves Trapshooting Team since the start of the program.
